Don't have a username/password? The Gates Information Network (GIN) is protected by the Computer Science Department's WebAuth system. Anyone with an office in the Gates building is entitled to have access. If you do not have a CS ID or have forgotten your password, contact Computer Science Department Computer Facilities at action@cs.stanford.edu or 650 725-1451 and they will help you to create an account or reset your password.
Don't have an office in Gates and would like to reserve a room? Contact Peche Turner (peche@cs.stanford.edu).
Have an office in Gates, but aren't in the CS department? That's OK. You are still entitled to a CS ID.
Trying to log in, but nothing happens? Try logging into http://cs.stanford.edu/medit. If you get the same problem (and can view other Web sites), this means that the Computer Science Webauth server (the "KDC") is probably down. Please notify action@cs.stanford.edu of the problem.
Getting a message that says "Bad Gateway"? GIN is down. Please notify action@logic.stanford.edu.
Getting a "Page Not Found" message? If you can access other websites, GIN is probably down. Please notify action@logic.stanford.edu.
Having some other problem? Please notify action@logic.stanford.edu.
